Flora Fauna and Folklore

Developed as a major exhibition project, Flora, Fauna & Folklore explores the ways plants and animals accumulate stories, beliefs, and symbolic meanings across cultures. This body of work merges natural history illustration with research into myth, rites, and narrative ecology. Through birds, fungi, insects, understory scenes, and botanical subjects, the series considers how the natural world has long served as a mirror for human meaning-making - and how these symbolic relationships continue to shape our understanding of nature today.
